Solas Capital becomes signatory to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)

We are delighted to accept this prestigious award for financing Resalta’s project to retrofit a primary school and health centre in the Slovenian municipality of Ilirska Bistrica.
This achievement holds special significance for us, as this project embodies how SSEF empowers budget-conscious public entities to undertake energy efficiency upgrades without the burden of high upfront costs. Such initiatives are vital for institutions like schools, kindergartens, and sports centres, which often lack adequate public funding for improvements despite their critical role in communities and high energy demands.
The comprehensive retrofit, including roof and façade insulation, new windows and doors, renovations to heating, lighting, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems, has resulted in:
- Annual energy savings: 757,387 kWh
- Carbon emissions reduction: 351,390 kg CO2e
Beyond these quantifiable benefits, the project has significantly improved the working and learning environment for students and staff, enhancing their health and well-being through better illumination and proper ventilation.
We are deeply grateful for this recognition, which is a testament to our exceptional team’s dedication and expertise, and motivates us to continue working tirelessly toward our mission to bridge the energy efficiency financing gap.
